Brick Tinting & Brick Ageing

Brick tinting & Brick ageing is used on any new repairs or new brickwork.

Brick tinting and ageing is a breathable dye.

Coloured pigments are used with a Potassium silicate fixing agent.

The fixing agent allows the dye to naturally absorb into brick allowing the brick to breathe.

Brick tinting & Brick ageing is a skill only some one with experience should undertake.

Brick remains a staple in British housebuilding as it is low maintenance, cost-effective, and widely used by the trade. But it can be troublesome when it comes to extending or undertaking remedial work because colour and finish vary and reclaimed bricks cannot always be found in sufficient quantities.

This is where brick tinting comes in — a process whereby bricks are tinted to match the existing, or their colour altered for more visually appealing results.
